Established in 2014, the VW MOOC (Virtual Worlds Massive Online Open Course) is a month-long course focused on connecting online for collaborative learning and teaching through Second Life and other virtual spaces. From August 2 to 31, 2026, their 12th annual program, "Connecting for Learning," features presentations, discussions, and events exploring AI, immersive education, digital citizenship, virtual worlds, and more.
